I reside in Australia and made a purchase from the freemason.com website in July 2011 not really knowing anything about the business. I thought the interview with Andrew Skidmore was a great idea and I’m pleased that I now know more about Andrew and thefreemason.com. It gives confidence to make more purchases in the future. Unfortunately, I have phoned their office a few times with a question but only get a recorded message. It’s a pity that a customer cannot e-mail questions. Regards, Jim Alsford
I totally agree with the previous responder, obviously the interview was very well scripted; but the questions were answered from the heart and with thought; you could see the enthusiasm Andrew has for his masonry.
His comments about the delivery of ritual are so true;I think we have all witnessed ritual delivered superbly but with a lack of conviction which normally results in the story not been told or understood; it always lifts my spirit when I see a mason delivering ritual with thought and inflection to make it a flowing story for the candidate and the rest of the assembled masons in lodge. Equally I have been impressed by masons who cannot for whatever reason deliver “flawless” ritual and need constant prompting; but you can see the effort they have put in and give of their best; which in my opinion is always worthy of praise.
I look forward to hearing more in the coming years
