Could anybody tell me how one joins a Red Apron Lodge?

Strength of manhood and beauty of spirit need combination. Masonry thus needs strength with gracefulness, stability with courtesy, and firmness with gentleness.

You have to be appointed a Grand Steward or Provincial Grand Steward before you can join a Grand Stewards' Lodge

Wot Mike said.

And regardless of whatever rank you may achieve after your appointment to Prov G Steward or G Steward you will always wear your red apron in the Stewards lodge. It is quite odd seeing our Dep Prov G Master and APGMs with their chains on but wearing a red apron.

In Spain our A&ASR craft Lodges wear red aprons.

Irrelevant but possibly interesting.

It's a shame that the A&ASR aprons are generally no longer worn in England. We have one in our chapter that is now the cushion for the MWS pedestal.

Sorry, an explanation.

In Spain we have 2 separate Craft Rituals. One is Emulation and the aprons worn are as per a normal UGLE Lodge.

The other is A&ASR and this is worked in A&ASR Craft Lodges. That is to say they practice the 3 degrees of the A&ASR which correspond to those in the Emulation ritual vis: EA, FC and MM. Also they have the installation of the Master. In these Craft Lodges the regalia worn is a white apron with the flap up for and EA, white apron with the flap down for an FC and a red MM apron that is the same as the Emulation one except it's red and the tassels are gold. Then PM's aprons are red with gold levels. Also worn are sashes one type for MM and one for PM's.

In Rose Croix we have aprons and collars but of a simpler design than the UK.
