This book deals with the hoax and myth of rosslynn chapel as well as the myth of the KT's landing in Scotland after there persecution in france. Excellent read and really well researched. I know it opened my eyes, especially with the description of the Christian symbolism within the private chapel. He blows away most of the rubbish which has been previously written and sticks to the facts rather than speculation. If you want your eyes opened it is well worth getting. Not a touch of Lomas in sight, the appearance of "New World flora" in the Chapel before CC is simple to explain. It is all down to the fact that 400 years before Columbus was an itch in his daddy's pants, those erstwhile rulers of Scotland and the Northern Isles had already been there and started colonising. The Vikings were the first known Europeans to travel to America (or Vineland as they named it, after the grapes they found there) via Greenland. Which believe it or not is actually quite a short passage compared to going across the middle like Columbus, the eedjet. Although the church was completed before history recorded the finding of America, the inner carvings took many more years to complete, You can also see that the carvings are very ornate when started in the west and as the moved to the east of the church they are crude and rushed( i'm pretty sure that it was west to east but might be mistaken in this), this is also explained in that it was the son who had the curch completed but he didn't put as much care into the planning as his father had done.
